Desert · Draa, south of Mhamid
Erg Chegaga
Erg Chegaga is the largest dune field in Morocco, about forty kilometres of sand south of Mhamid, past the last road.
The place
There is no village inside it and no light after dark, which is why the stars here are the reason many guests come at all. We camp in the dunes rather than on their edge.
